Opening her kindle, she tried to read, the words blurring together again and again, before she finally boarded the plane. Settling down in her seat she looked out the small window to her left. Watching her home city of Glasgow as they started to taxi for take-off. As the plane picked up speed, the wheels leaving the ground she felt a sense of relief like never before.

“First thing I’m doing is getting drunk!” She thought, no idea the life changing repercussions that decision would have.

☕☕☕☕☕ Review

I read this book in serial format, one book at a time, and loved every single second. The first book hooked me with it’s intriguing story line. Come on, who doesn’t love a lion shifter…. and we get two! Awesome hunks of lioness aside, the unique personalities of the three main characters blend and complement each other well. Their chemistry sizzles, and the story flows smoothly. I gave each of these books, together and separately – 5 coffee cups (better than stars). A first for me with a serial.

And now for those who don’t have the patience for the serial format, Renee has released the complete novel. With all the suspense and intrigue of a serial, without the wait. That’s what I call ‘best of both worlds’.

Queen of the cliff-hanger! Renee George knows how to rock a serial.

Queen of the cliff-hangers is definitely a title Renee George has earned, as she really leaves you hanging, in the most torturous, delicious way. The plot thickens, more of the supporting characters are revealed. Some questions are answered, while others are raised. And all the while, Maddie and her Lion Kings grow closer, ever reaching towards the elusive mating. Maddie has their love. Cage and Adam have their Queen, but will they be able to keep her?

Who killed Clary, will she get to Maddie also? Will the Kings get to keep their queen? These are only a few of the burning questions I’m left with. Can’t wait for Part Five – the final conclusion where my questions will be answered.

Did I mention, that I absolutely love this serial? I used to refuse to read a serial, couldn’t stand a cliff-hanger, but I read this as a favor, and have been addicted ever since. Hot sexy alpha lion shifters, and a strong physic heroin, surrounding by an interesting carnival family. What’s not to love?

His smile was almost feral as he turned towards the corner of the room. The younger sister of the previous girl he had used was now curled into a tight ball, useless tears streaming down her perfect face. Her baby-blue eyes widened in panic as he watched her closely…she obviously knew she was in for some more of his loving!

“Come here now!” he snarled. The girl shook her head from side to side, whether in denial of his command, or at the thought of what was to come, he wasn’t sure.

He raised an arm and stretched it out towards her, words spilling from his mouth almost silently. His eyes narrowed as he watched the pain hit, and her scream was torn from her throat, as he knew her head would feel as if it was about to explode. Her hands flew up to either side of her head, as if she could halt the excruciating pain that now engulfed it. How pathetic…she should’ve learned by now that nobody could stop him.

“I see, so I assume I’m in danger…again?” Her voice was oddly calm as she spoke and she wasn’t sure who that surprised more, the men sitting at the table or her.

Josef agreed. “We have to assume that, anything else would be folly, so we’ll have to make sure you’re safe. We will work together, hopefully Ronan or my own investigations will find this person and the threat will be eliminated. We will keep you safe, little Witch.”

Gabe piped up. “You’re damn right! I’ve had just about enough of this fucking sect! If I get the chance, the guy is going down…and not getting back up. Don’t you worry, baby, don’t you worry at all.” Gabe was smiling, a huge smile, but she saw the worry in his eyes.

“This is so…so…irritating!” she spat out and Gabe laughed, a full-on belly laugh. She frowned, wondering what he found so funny.

“Here, have some juice.” Josef poured her some more OJ as they both stared at Gabe.

“That’s priceless, irritating, you must be rubbing off on her, Jo! It’s irritating – not this is fucked up or I’m furious, angry, raging. Nope, she says she’s irritated. That is so one of your words.” Gabe snickered again, pointing at Josef.

Just like that the tension was broken, Peri laughing, too, throwing a punch in her Wolf’s direction.
