Hers to BearHers to Bear
by Tamara Hoffa

Twenty-five and never been kissed, Jenna Raynes is a beautiful woman with a rubenesque figure often overlooked by men. In the mood for a little honey, the sassy new schoolteacher is stopped in her tracks by one growled word from an alpha bear…“Mine.”
Bern Helms’ inner bear catches the scent of his destined mate. His animal’s desire is drawn to her curves, but Jenna is human, and not lured to him by instinct. Convincing her begins as a sizzling, sweet affair that is soon spoiled by danger. In their small backwater town, nerves are strung taut. Someone is abducting shifter children.

When confronted, Jenna is as protective of her students as a mamma bear. For Bern, all bets are off when the kidnapper’s take Jenna too. Nothing will keep a bear from his mate. The hunters will become the hunted…

First Author Spotlight – Feb 3rd

Congratulations Lucian Bane. 🏆

AS BaneLucian

Bio:
My name is Lucian Bane, and I’m a Dom. I like to refer to myself as an ineffable Dom, and while many attribute the term ineffable to God, let me assure you the godly attribution of awe and astonishment does not apply to me, lol. I merely assume the part of the meaning unexplainable, in the sense my dominance will not be defined by tropes and customary categories. To a lot of people, I’m a complicated Dom, an intricate Dom, or confounding Dom. To my wife, I am a godly Dom.

And I think that would be the truest definition, since it is to God that I submit my dominance in obedience to His will.

I don’t want a woman I can break, or overpower, or exercise my dominance over, I want a woman I can give myself to completely, come undone with, become one with. I want a woman I can jump off the cliff with, into that abyss of unspeakable and ineffable holy shit, that can only be found within the confines of passionate, and committed love.

I think there are many men just like myself, and I hope my writing will be a map for them. (A map for women as well, to recognize and identify these Doms.) I want to challenge men as well to go for the complete power exchange with a woman, and not be a coward or hypocrite and withhold those things they demand or expect from a woman. For consider that when you give one hundred percent of yourself to a woman, there is no more of you to give away. You now belong to them the way they belong to you. You are both in each other and belong to each other. You are one.

As young men, our inner Doms need a master to train them. I once bowed to my inner Dom’s reckless and tireless desires, but when I gave myself to God and conformed my will to His, that inner Dom bowed to His will. The transformation made me into what I am today.

Answers to some of the questions I’m commonly asked:

Yes, there is a real-life Tara and she is my wife. (Thank you God )

While the Dom Wars game is obviously fictional, many other elements of the story are true.

Yes, I really am a man, and I really am a Dom. No, I don’t take on new subs. My only sub is my beautiful wife whom I love more than my own life.

Yes, I am writing after I finish the Dom Wars series. I’m currently working on a paranormal series as you can see and the way it’s going and the amount of ideas I have, it’s doubtful I’ll ever stop writing fiction.

My desire for privacy seems to fascinate some people, and I haven’t quite figured out why. Contrary to what we like to believe about our society, not everyone is free to do or say whatever they want. Words and actions can negatively impact family and friends. I have a responsibility to protect the people in my life from the consequences of my choices, so I will not post images or real names. I would feel terrible if my sister’s husband lost his job, or my mother was ostracized in church, or anything unpleasant happened to anyone I know simply because I write Erotica. People have enough difficulty without being presumed guilty by their associations with me.

Computer Virus–and First Day of Real Obedience Training

Terry Speer on sharing her morning with the pups and her views on computer virus carma. 💻🐶

terryspear's avatarTerry Spear's Shifters

First, I hate people who create computer viruses. I know, we shouldn’t hate, but I HATE people who do that. I wish there was a magical thing that we could erect on our computers that if someone created a virus, for every computer they infected, the person who created it and sent it out to the world would end up with a human virus. So that means that they would  have millions of viruses wracking their body. Yep, If I could create such a weapon, I’d do it. They would be in the bathroom for days and weeks and months, depending on how widespread their computer virus was.

Now I feel better while I’m on my laptop, that is great for trips, but a pain to use at home because I don’t have a great way to sit and write on it, and I don’t know half my passwords, so…

To Outline or Not to Outline – Or is There a Third Choice?

Unknown's avatarDon Massenzio's Author Site

This week’s blog focuses on the topic of whether or not it is better to outline your book or short story before you dive in and write. When I wrote my first book, it was in the days before airplanes allowed tablet devices to be used during that down time before the flight took off. I fly through Atlanta from Jacksonville, FL every week and usually the time waiting to take off exceeds the actual flight time. During those dark ages when ALL electronic devices had to be off and stowed, I wrote my first novel completely in longhand in notebooks. It was an interesting exercise that was very time consuming. I not only had to type everything I wrote later on, but, being a left-handed refugee from Catholic school, my handwriting is pretty horrible and I often had to guess at what I had written.

Needless to say, I…

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder

books are my reality's avatarbooks are my reality

Poison Study was awesome! It had great characters and an interesting setting. In the country of Ixia, killing of any kind was banned including self defense and accidental. Magic was banned. It didn’t matter if the powers were used or not; just having the ability to use it was against the rules. When things were not allowed in Ixia, it normally resulted in a death sentence.  Yelena was supposed to be executed for her crime. She got a last minute reprieve as long as she agreed to be food taster to ensure the commander’s food wasn’t poisoned.

Valek is the one who taught Yelena all about poisons. He is a fascinating character who was smart, diligent, duplicitous when necessary, and well trained in combat. She liked him but feared him as well. He always knew what Yelena was doing. It was his job to kill people with magic, and she was…

Embrace the Dark by Caris Roane

reviewsbyruckie's avatarReviews by Ruckie

Bella Media Management

After being sucked in by work, family, and life in general for the last few weeks I managed some time to research backlists on favorite authors.  Caris Roane is the author of many books and a few series, but I have followed her Guardians series from the start.  While casting about for something new to check out, I saw some posts about the newest release in her Blood Rose series.  I checked out the summary for the first book in this series on her website and decided to give it a go.

At an estimated 188 pages, this story is a little shorter and more on the novella side, but the author maintained this reader’s interest throughout the tale.  I found the variations in the world that Caris Roane built for this series refreshing, and the remake on vampire power was interesting too.  The typical buildup that you see between…
